Mister Varg Vikernes founded the Norwegian black metal project Burzum in 1991 and left a significant mark on the genre. During his time in prison, he wrote several albums, including "Daudi Baldrs" and "Hildskjalf." The word "Burzum" simply means "darkness" in Old Norse. However, Varg Vikernes is a controversial figure within the black metal scene due to several controversial incidents, including the murder of Euronymous, the singer of his former band Mayhem.
